utopia理想国，乌托邦

该词指一个虚构、理想、完美的地方。1516年，英国政治家、学者托马斯·莫尔爵士（Sir Thomas More，1478—1535）出版了一本题为《乌托邦》（Utopia ）的拉丁语著作，utopia一词即源自于此。在《乌托邦》中，莫尔虚构了一处名为“乌托邦”的岛屿，那里拥有完美的社会、政治、经济和法律制度。莫尔用希腊单词ou（不）和topos（地方）创造了utopia一词，因此根据其希腊语词源，utopia指“没有这个地方”，它并非真实存在，纯粹是虚构的。

英语词源

1516年，英国政治家、空想社会主义者、作家托马斯·莫尔（ Thomas More ）爵士发表了名著《乌托邦》（全名是《关于最完全的国家制度和乌托邦新岛的既有益又有趣的全书》）。

莫尔在书中虚构了一个航海家航行到一个神奇的“乌托邦”（ Utopia ）的旅行见闻。在那里，财产是公有的，人民是平等的，实行按需分配的原则，大家穿统一的工作服，在公共餐厅就餐，官吏是公共选举产生。

英语单词 utopia 由希腊词根 ou （ no ，没有）和 topos （ place ，地方），字面意思就是“乌有之乡，不存在的地方”。今天， utopia 一词一般用来描写任何想象的、理想的社会，或者是某些好的，但是无法实现的建议、愿望、计划等。
