Set him breast-deep in earth and famish him.
不给他东西吃
让他站在那儿！求人给他食物吧
There let him stand and rave and cry for food.
谁要放了他，或可怜他
If anyone relieves or pities him,
那人也得死
for the offense he dies.
这是我们的不幸
This is our doom.
为什么人们见到别人的苦难
Oh, why should wrath be mute and fury dumb?
总是不闻不问

that with base prayers…
我应该为我犯的罪仟悔
I should repent the evils I have done.
如果我这辈子干了任何善事
If one good deed in all my life I did…

no funeral rite,
不准任何人为她哀悼
no man in mourning weeds,
不准为她敲丧钟
nor mournful bell shall ring her burial,
把她丢给野兽野鸟吃
but throw her forth to beasts and birds of prey.
她自己就像个野兽一样
Her life was beast-like…
灭绝人性
and devoid of pity.
现在她死了
And, being dead,
让野鸟们去怜悯她吧
let birds on her take pity.
