I knew Muhammad
他不过是个放羊的孤儿
when he was an orphan minding sheep
我们知道基♥督♥以前曾是木匠
And you knew Christ as a carpenter
基♥督♥的话和你们穆♥罕♥默♥德♥的话
What Christ says and what your Muhammad says
像是同一盏灯中发出的两束光
is like two raised from the same land
他们在胡说 他们反对基♥督♥
They’r lieing to you They deny Christ
说你们崇拜三个神 圣父 圣子和圣灵
You worship 3 gods they say, father son and holy ghost they’r saying
你们说基♥督♥什么？
What do you say of Christ?
他们说上帝不可能有儿子
They say God can not have a son,
基♥督♥不是上帝之子
Christ is not the Son of God
告诉我你们怎么看待基♥督♥？
speak to me of Christ
我们对基♥督♥的看法是先知教导的
we say of Christ what our prophet has told us,
上帝把他的圣灵
that god cast his holy spirit into
植入处♥女♥玛利亚的腹中
the womb of a virgin named Mary
从而孕育出了上帝的使徒基♥督♥
and that she conceived Christ the Apostle of God
他说的是使徒 不是儿子
Apostol he says, not a son, not a son!
你们的神迹可兰经
What does your miracle,
是怎么说我主耶稣基♥督♥诞生的？
your Qur’an, say of the breadth, by the Lord Jesus Christ?
我能引用里面的话吗？
may I relate the words?
到我面前来
Come closer to me
以至仁至慈真♥主♥之名
In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful
可兰经中这样讲述玛利亚的事
relate in the book, the story of Mary.
讲她如何离开家来到东方
how she was grew away from her family to a place in the east.
我们如何派去了天使加百利 对她说
How we sent her an angel called Gabriel who said:
我是上帝的使者
“I am a messenger from your God
我来向你宣告圣子将由你而诞生
to announce the birth of a holy son to you”
她说没有男人碰过我 我怎么会有儿子？
she said: How shall I Mary have a son when no man has touched me?”
加百利回答 因为你的主上帝说这事会发生
And Gabriel replied: For your Lord says, it will happen”
我们派他向人类证明
“We appoint him as a sign on to man”
我们给予人类的仁慈
and a mercy from us!
这就是将要发生的事
It is a thing or didn’t”
你们和我们之间的不同还不如这根线
The difference between us and you is not bigger than this line
给我一座金山 我也不会让你带走他们
Not for a mountain of gold will I give them up to you
你们可以在阿比西尼亚和平地生活
you may live in Abyssinia in peace as long
愿住多久住多久
as you wish
等你们回去时 愿上帝的祝福跟随你
May God’s blessings be upon you when you return
无法容忍♥
lntolerable!
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥把我们的国家联盟都破坏了
Mohamed disturbs even our foreign alliences
好啊 那我们就来硬的
Very well! we will make him give up on him
既然阿布·塔里布把他护在怀中
Abu Talib has his arms around him
那好 我们就把叔叔和侄子一起赶走
Very well! we will throw uncle and nephew out
把他和他们全家统统赶出去
In one bundle, his whole family out we will expel them from ourselves
不许商人跟他们做生意 不许他们停留
No merchant make trade with them, no land remain to them
不许收留他们 不许施舍给他们钱
no roof shelter them, no beggar pay for them
不许女人嫁给他们
no woman marry them
直到他们宣布放弃信仰
until they renounce their trend.
这是穆♥罕♥默♥德♥一生中最艰难的时刻
These were the worst years of Muhammad’s life
三年来 他们经受了沙漠中的
For 3 years they suffered the hunger, thirst,
饥饿 干渴和严酷环境
cruelty of the open desert,
但悲伤的时候还是来临了
but the year of grief was still to come,
与穆♥罕♥默♥德♥相伴24年的妻子卡蒂佳去世
when Khatija, Muhammad’s wife for 24 years died,
一直保护他的老阿布·塔里布也去世了
when Abu Talib his old Protector died
在生命的最后时刻 阿布·塔里布
With his last breath Abu Talib
仍想努力调和麦加和穆♥罕♥默♥德♥的关系
tried again to reconsile Mecca and Muhammad
他从没提出什么要求 只要一句话
He never asked more from you, when one word,
真♥主♥唯一
one.. one God
如果只是一句话的事
If it was only a question of one word
那我可以给他10句
I’d have given him 10 words,
但他要的这句话将废除所有神灵
but the word he wants would dethrown all the gods
你们连听他说话都不敢
You were afraid even to hear him
随着叔叔辞世
with the death of his uncle,
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥失去了所有保护
Muhammad has now lost all protection
他待在麦加已经不安全了
He was no longer safe in Mecca
他和养子札伊德一起来到塔伊夫镇的山坡
Alone with Zaid, his adopted son, he went to the hillside town of Taif
他请求人们接纳他 允许他讲道
He asked to be taken in, to be allowed to preach
但塔伊夫的孩子毫不留情地向他扔石头
But the children of Taif were turned loose to stone him
把他们赶回沙漠
back into the desert
你们干什么？
What are you doing?
别打了 住手
Stop! Stop!
别打他 别打啦
Leave him alone! Wait!
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥称这段时间
Muhammad called this,
是他一生中最艰难的时光
the bitterest day of his life, Then miraculously,
当穆♥罕♥默♥德♥的事业几乎要失败时
when Muhammad’s mission seemed to have failed,
他的整个状况神奇般得到改变
his entire situation changed
麦地那城里一帮自相残杀的富人派出代表
A deputation from the rich, but self-destroying
深夜在阿嘎巴岩石会见了他
city of Medina met him by night at the Rock of Agaba
请他帮忙调停麦地那各派之间
asking him to come to them to stand between their factions
无休止的争端和内战
to mediate their continual quarrels and civil wars
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥同意了 条件是要发誓
Muhammad agreed, provided they gave him a pledge
听从唯一的真♥主♥
that they worship the one God only
等等 如果我们发出这一誓言
Wait! When we take this pledge
我们将被所有阿♥拉♥伯人摈弃 考虑考虑吧
we expel ourselves from the rest of Arabia. So, wait!
这一誓言中包含着战争
War is in this pledge.
我们将使兄弟成为敌人
We’ll make enemies of brothers
使我们的神灵成为烧火柴
we’ll make firewood of our gods
这就是这项誓言的意义
That is the meaning of the pledge
如果发出誓言 我们将无法回头
If we take it, there can be no turning back
因为穆♥罕♥默♥德♥确实如犹太预言所说是真♥主♥的使者
for Muhammad is indeed the messenger of God foretold to Jews in our city
有谁怀疑这一誓言 可以马上离开
So if anyone has doubt in this pledge, go now
如果大家不怀疑 那就像我这样做
and if you have no doubts then you do as I do
我发誓听从于唯一的真♥主♥
I pledge myself to the one and only God
听从穆♥罕♥默♥德♥ 真♥主♥的使者
and to you Muhammad, the messenger of God
他是我们的 我们是他的
He is of us and we are of him
让他带领追随者们 我们的弟兄
Leave him bring his followers, our brothers,
来我们这里 来麦地那吧
to use, to Medina
这次征程改变了世界
It was a journey that changed the world
在向着麦地那的大逃亡中
The Hijrah of flight to Medina
仅有的70个人 分成小组
Only 70 people split up into small groups
在沙漠中跋涉了400多公里
walking 250 miles of desert
这次远征意义十分重大 影响极为深远
yet, so profound with the consequences so lasting with the effects of this walk
它是穆♥斯♥林♥历法的开始
that from it the muslims take their calendar
在这一该 伊♥斯♥兰♥事业找到了自己的前途
In this moment, Islam found its future
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥本人冒着极大风险
Muhammad himself stayed in Mecca
独自留在麦加
in the greatest danger
直到所有追随者都安全离开
until all his followers had left safely
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥简直成了国家
Muhammad has become a nation,
他接管这个城市
he has received a city,
信奉伊♥斯♥兰♥教 执行伊♥斯♥兰♥法规
entering into pledges and treaties
而你 号♥称麦地那之王的萨鲁尔
and you Salool who claim to be king of Medina
却一夜之间在睡梦中失去了王国
lost the kingdom last night while you were in bed
你还是操心自己吧 阿布·苏菲扬
you should worry about yourself Abu Sufian
以后你每次出城做香料买♥♥卖♥♥
Every time you trade a whif of perfume of the city,
都得悄悄躲过麦地那城中那个人
you must creep past that man in Medina
我们在这里谈话 他已经扼住了你经商的喉管
he is across your merchantile throats as we speak
你打算怎么办？
And what do you intend to do?
我打算等
l intend to wait
等多长时间？
And how long will you wait?
等到你和其他阿♥拉♥伯人
Till you and the rest of Arabia
为保护自己的生活方式而除掉他
remove him to save your way of life
等待期间怎么办？
and while you wait?
当然接受他的要求
I should accept his call of course
等他以为我会放弃自己世袭的…
To think I will give him my birth-rite…
我就…
I will not..
麦地那值得我们夺回来
Medina is worth the conversion
虚伪
Hypocrisy
当然 这是一种好的虚伪
Of course, its the healthy hypocrisy
