我请您聆听神的旨意
I bid you to hear the divine call

He speaks of the new prophet in Arabia
就像施洗约翰当年那样
Was it like this when John, the Baptist
从沙漠中赶来向希律王疾呼救赎？
came to king Hsrul out of the desert crying of salvation

你这沙漠窜出来的
You come out of the desert,
满身骆驼加羊膻味
smelling of camel and goat
还想教训波斯人吗？
You stand as Persia kneel?
真♥主♥的使者穆♥罕♥默♥德♥
Muhammad, Messenger of God
谁赋予他这权力？
Who gave him this authority?
真♥主♥派穆♥罕♥默♥德♥作为使者来到人间
God sent Muhammad
「真♥主♥的使者」
as a message to mankind

古老文明四处崩溃

Muhammad was born in Mecca in Arabia
那是座富裕的贸易城市 由商人统治着
Mecca was then a rich trading city ruled by its merchants
他们通过放置神像这一特权
whose wealth was multiplied by a unique
使自己的财富成倍增长
privilege They housed the gods
每年大集市时 沙漠中的神甫
Every year, at the time of the great fair, the desert priests
都会把他们崇拜的神的偶像和画像
brought their idols and the images of their gods
带到这里放置在天房♥中
into the custody of Kabbaah
在最虔诚的阿伯拉罕时代
Months, the most holyish reign of Abraham,
天房♥成为专门放置神像的地方
the Kabbaah has now become a house of idology
几个月里放置的各种神像至少有360多个
hosting no fewer than 360 different gods

Where verse and prose are nightly put to slaughter
我发誓 那里的面包薄如纸片
And and the bread, I swear in there, is thinner than the water

He is 40 years old Its unnatural,
他富得能养得起全麦加最能花钱的女人
with a rich wife he could afford the best of Mecca
却宁愿坐在山洞中发抖
If he chooses to sit shivering in a cave,
这很不正常
it is unnatural
一个人竟然胆敢惹怒
For a man who dares to risk the anger of
拉瑟乌扎 保佑我们健康的神
Lath-Uzza, who keeps our health,
麦纳 保佑我们财富的神
Mannat, the god of our prosperity,
阿♥拉♥ 保佑我们部落和家族的神
Allot, the god of our family and tribes and Hubar,
还有胡巴
Hubar,
保佑我们商队 预测我们命运的神
who starts our caravans and predicts our fate
一年之内质疑这么多神 太危险了
To challenge the gods within a year sort of the gods is dangerous
这无法解释
Unreasonable
这是造♥反♥ 是亵渎神灵
Rebellious, blasphemous
是啊 恐怕穆♥罕♥默♥德♥要倒霉了
Yes, I’m afraid Muhammad will harm himself
每次大集市结束我都很难过
I am always sad when the great fair is over
我可能看不到下次集市了
I might not see the next one
阿布·塔里布 阿布·塔里布
Abu Talib! Abu Talib!
别着急 扎伊德
Catch your breath, Zaid!
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥从山上下来了吗？
Has Muhammad come down from the mountain yet?
他已经去了三天了
He’s been there for 3 days
没有 我一直没见到他
No No, I haven’t seen him
卡蒂嘉以为他会在回家的途中来看你
Khadija hoped he might have come to you on his way home
也许他还在山上吧
Maybe he’s still up there

我恐怕他还在山上
I’m afraid for him on the mountain
因为我不知道那意味着什么
because I don’t know what it means
人在山上能将世界看得更清楚
Men see the world too well from a mountain

teaches man what he knows not

He’s still trembling under the blanket,
不过已经开口说话了
but he has spoken
扎伊德 我侄子在山上怎么了？
Zaid! What happened to my nephew on the mountain?
他一个人在山洞里
He was alone in the cave
突然天使来到了他面前
Suddenly an angel came on to him,
天使说 宣读吧
The angel said: Read!
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥回答说 我不能
Muhammad replied: I can not read
天使又命令道 宣读吧
The angle commanded again: Read!
以真♥主♥之名
In the name of our Lord
真♥主♥用自己充满同情的血创造了人类
who created man from his sensitive drop of blood
教化人们的无知
who teaches man what he knows not:
宣读吧
Read!
谁知道是不是天使加百利
Who knows if it was Gabriel!
那可能是个梦
It could have been a dream
穆♥罕♥默♥德♥从山上下来时亲眼见到了加百利
When Muhammad was coming from the mountain He saw Gabriel cleanly
以人形出现 站在地平线上
in the shape of a man standing on the horizon
无论他转向里 都能看见加百利
Wherever he looked, upon every turn of his head he saw him
加百利又对他说
Gabriel said to him again:
我是加百利
I am Gabriel
