JEFF: It became more and more fanatically religious as the show went on.

They finally spotted him in a hotel parking lot, I believe in Jersey.

He ended up on the Bowery, in a men’s shelter,

where he was assaulted once or twice, lost some possessions.

JEFF: At this point, Daniel is homeless and hungry

and having the time of his life
但与此同时所有人都快被吓死了
while everybody else is completely freaked out.

We don’t know what to do, whereas Daniel doesn’t even realize there’s a problem.
最后终于有几个朋友把他带去巴士站
Finally, a couple of friends made arrangements to take him to the bus station,
搞了张票把他送回家
to buy him a ticket to go back home.
他们以为看到了Daniel上车
They thought they saw him getting on the bus.
结果两天之后他们又发现Daniel仍在纽约逍遥自在
The next thing they know, two days later, Daniel is spotted back in New York City.
还去贝尔维尤坐了几天牢
He’d spent some time in Bellevue, a day or two,
因为粗心的警员笔误而被早早放出，出狱的当晚就跑去CBGB(著名场地)
was released due to a clerical error and actually opened for Fire-hose
乱开消防栓
at CBGB’s that night.
在CBGB那场演出，他唱了两首歌♥就走了
JEFF: After the CBGB’s gig, he did his two songs and left.
所有人脑袋里想的都是
All anybody could think of
得赶紧把这个家伙弄回家，不然他和观众里面肯定得有个人得死
was, “We’ve got to get him home before he either kills somebody or gets killed.”
他来纽约的目的就是成名
His goal in New York was to become famous.

And I think he accomplished his goal by the time he left.

JEFF: Just a few weeks later he traveled to Maryland
