and he just would have none of it.
哪怕在他少见的去教堂的时候，他也不会参与任何活动
He’d go to church, even, but he wouldn’t participate.
顶多在那里盯着女孩们看
He’d go to church so he could stare at the girls,
想找到一个女朋友
try to find a girlfriend.
所以实际上，他只关心如何创作艺术以及成为约翰列侬
Literally, all he cared about was making art and being John Lennon,
而他父母的约束阻碍了他的梦想
and his parents’ rules were in the way of that.

All he wanted them to do was just

I really didn’t like it when he put…

was when he first went to college,

And then back to being a normal person again.

And we thought, “Well, everything’s all right.” So we sent him to a local college.

Kent State University branch in East Liverpool, Ohio.

And I am attending the same school.
那里几乎全是整天摸鱼的教授
We found all these kind of lethargic professors
和一些半桶水的学生
and sort of half-talented students.
Daniel直接把他们当成素材整理了出来
And, Daniel, of course, he just scoops them up…
让他们变成自己艺术内容里的角色
…and he just mixes them into his an’ form.
大家都像他的所有物一样，他可能突然就蹿出来采访同学
Like everybody’s his subject, you know, all of a sudden he’s interviewing people
用着他的小录音机，从大众的话语里剪切出一些词语
with his little tape recorder and then taking little phrases from them
把这些内容混在他的歌♥里当作采样
and cutting them into his songs.

DANIEL: I was alone in my life
