This is the story of how I died.

And the truth is, it isn’t even mine.

This is the story of a girl named, Rapunzel.
主角是一个名叫瑞普兹的女孩
And it starts, with the sun.
故事要从太阳讲起
Now, once upon a time,

a single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens.

And from this small drop of sun,

grew a magic, golden, flower.

It had the ability to heal the sick, and injured.

You might want to remember her.

She’s kind of important.

Well, centuries pass
几个世纪过去了
and a hop skip and a boat ride away there grew a kingdom.
在那不远的山水间 崛起了一个王国
The kingdom was ruled by a beloved King and Queen.
受人爱戴的国王和皇后统治着这片土地
And the Queen, well she was about to have a baby,
皇后就快分娩了
but she got sick,
可是她病了
really, sick.
病得很重
She was running out of time.
她已命在旦夕
And that’s when people usually start to look for a miracle.
这时 人们通常期盼着奇迹的降临
Or in this case, a magic golden flower.
而这个故事里 期盼的是那朵金色的仙花
Ahhh, I told you she’d be important.
早说了她很重要吧
You see instead of sharing the suns gift,
这个女巫格特尔
this woman, Mother Gothel,
并没有和别人分享这太阳的馈赠
hoarded its healing power
而是独占了它的治愈能力
and used it to keep herself young for hundreds of years.

And all she had to do, was sing a special song.

To celebrate her birth,

the King and Queen launched a flying lantern into the sky.

And for that one moment, everything was perfect.

Gothel broke into the castle,

stole the child, and just like that… gone.

The Kingdom searched and searched,
全国上下苦苦寻找公主
but they could not find the Princess.

For deep within the forest
而在密林深处
In a hidden tower.
一座隐秘的高塔里
Gothel raised the child as her own.
格特尔待这个孩子视如己出
… save what has been lost,

bring back what once was mine,

Gothel had found her new magic flower.

But this time she was determined to keep it hidden.

The outside world is a dangerous place.

Filled with horrible, selfish people.

But the walls of that tower, could not hide everything.
但这塔的高墙 并非密不透风
Each year on her birthday,

the King and Queen released thousands of lanterns into the sky.
国王和皇后都会放飞成千上万盏天灯
In hope that one day,
希望有一天
their lost Princess, would return.
失踪的公主会回到身边
Well I guess Pascal’s not hiding out here.

7a.m. The usual morning line-up
早晨七点 又是平凡的一天
Start on the chores I sweep ’til the floors all clean.
琐碎家务 先扫净地板
Polish and wax, do laundry and mop and shine up.
抛光打蜡 洗衣拖地 洗洗刷刷
Sweep again, and by then it’s like 7:15.
再扫一次 也才七点十五
So I’ll read a book, or maybe two or three.
读一二三本书
I’ll add a few new paintings to my gallery.
画四五六幅画
I’ll play guitar, and knit, and cook and basically.
弹吉他 做针线 烹饪煮饭
Just wonder when will my life, begin.
可我的精彩人生何时开始
Then after lunch, it’s puzzles, and darts and baking.
午饭后 玩拼图 投飞镖 烤蛋糕
Papier-mache, a bit of ballet, and chess.
做纸工 跳芭蕾 下象棋
Pottery, and ventriloquy, candle making.
制陶器 学腹语 做蜡烛
Then I’ll stretch, maybe sketch.
然后伸个懒腰 画个草图
Take a climb, sew a dress,
爬个房♥梁 织条裙子
and I’ll re-read the books.
再把书重读一遍
If I have time to spare, I’ll paint the wall some more,
若还有时间 我要再画些图
I’m sure there’s room somewhere.

And then I’ll brush, and brush, and brush, and brush my hair.

Stuck in the same place I’ve always been.
