为什么这短篇里的人物设定都那么丑陋呢

设定出那么丑陋的角色 也太变♥态♥了吧

that she in fact fetishizes.
她自己相信那个”神话“
she subsumes herself to the myth
那种黑人男性性能力强的“神话”
of black male sexual potency,
但她自己却没敢继续跟进了
but then doesn’t follow through.
她以为她自己会尊敬美国黑人
she thinks she respects afro-americans,
她以为黑人很酷 有着和白人不一样的情调
and thinks they’re cool and exotic–
她和黑人的那场性♥爱♥可以说是酣畅淋漓
what a notch he’d make in her belt–
当然啦 这一切也都归于“大性器”的老套路上了
but of course, it all comes down to a mandingo cliche,
他和她发生性关系
and he calls her on it.
一黑一白 种族主义设定的经典惯例
in classic racist tradition,
她将黑人妖魔化 随后又去男友那寻求庇护
she demonizes, then runs for cover.
不过话说回来 她还能怎么做呢？

but i think it’s a callow piece of writing.
幼稚浅显…且太过含蓄
callow… and coy.
性♥爱♥方面 简想要更多 但却羞于承认
jane wants more, but isn’t honest enough to admit it.
故事结尾 她回到她的庇护所 回到她那身体残疾的男友身边
in the end she returns to the safety of her crippled–
解读一下 这里的“残疾”指的是“性功能低下”
translation, sexually impotent–boyfriend.
