女巫的扫帚（2012）

The witch had a cat
女巫有只猫
and a very tall hat
一顶乌黑大尖帽
And long ginger hair which she wore in a plait.
还有一头红发大长辫子。
Iggety, ziggety
天灵灵地灵灵
zaggety…zo!
神奇黑锅快显灵！
How the cat purred and how the witch grinned
猫咪咕噜叫，女巫咧嘴笑
As they sat on their broomstick and flew through the wind.
两人稳坐扫帚上，轻快迎风上。
Witch.
女巫
But how the witch wailed and how the cat spat
强风劲吹，尖帽跌落。女巫呼叫，猫咪惊诧。
Down!
降落！
Cried the witch and they flew to the ground.
女巫喊道，随即降落到地面。
They searched for the hat
他们到处寻找帽子
but no hat could be found.
却一无所获。
Then out of the bushes on thundering paws
传来一阵疾驰的声音
There bounded a…dog with the hat in his jaws.
跳出来一只…狗，嘴巴里衔着尖帽。
He dropped it politely
他轻轻放下
then eagerly said, As the witch pulled the hat firmly down on her head
女巫一把帽子戴稳了他又匆匆说道
I am a dog, as keen as can be…
我是一只身手敏捷的小狗，就跟…
Is there room on the broom For a dog like me?
扫帚上容得下我这样的狗吗？
Yes! Cried the witch.
当然！ 女巫高兴说道。
and the dog clambered on.
小狗攀上扫帚。
The witch tapped the broomstick
女巫轻扣扫帚
and WHOOSH~ they were gone!
咻的一声~飞走了！
Over the fields and the forests they flew.
越过田野与森林。
The dog wagged his tail and the stormy wind blew.
小狗直摇尾巴，风却不停肆虐。
The witch laughed aloud and held on to her hat.
女巫变扶稳了帽子一边大笑着。
But away blew the bow from her long ginger plait.
红发辫子上的蝴蝶结却被吹掉了。
Down! Cried the witch and they flew to the ground.
下降！ 女巫一声令下，他们降到地面。
They searched for the bow.
搜寻蝴蝶结。
but no bow could be found.
一无所获。
Then out from a tree with an ear-splitting shriek.
一棵树外传来一声撕破耳膜的惨叫声。
There flapped a green bird with the bow in her beak.
一只绿色鸟儿叼着蝴蝶结扑哧飞来。
She dropped it politely and bent her head low.
她轻柔地放下也低下了头。
Then said, as the witch tied her plait in a bow.
女巫一扎好辫子，她就说道。
I…
我…
I am a bird as green as can be.
我是只鸟，身披碧玉。
Is there room on the broom for a bird like me?
扫帚上能容得下我吗？
YES! Cried the witch.
可以！ – 女巫高兴地说。
so the bird fluttered on.
小鸟振翅飞到扫帚上。
The witch tapped the broomstick.
女巫轻扣扫帚。
A-a-a-nd W-W-WHOOOSH! They were gone.
咻的一声！他们飞走了。
Over the reeds and the rivers they flew.
越过芦苇与河流。
The bird shrieked with glee.
鸟儿愉悦，扯嗓开唱。
and the stormy wind blew.
风依旧呼啸不止。
They shot through the sky to the back of beyond.
他们仍然空中飞行。
The witch clutched her bow.
女巫抓紧了蝴蝶结。
but let go of her wand!
可魔杖却从手中滑落！
Down! Cried the witch and they flew to the ground.
下去！ 女巫一声呼叫，落到地面。
They searched for the wand.
他们搜寻魔杖。
but no wand could be found.
可一无所获。
Then all of a sudden from out of a pond
池塘里却忽然冒出
Leapt a dripping wet frog.
一只湿滑的青蛙。
with a dripping wet wand.
手拿湿漉魔杖。
He dropped it politely then said with a croak
轻轻放下魔杖，女巫一擦干，他呱呱说到。
I am a frog.
我是只小青蛙。
…as clean as can be.
卫生干净爱淋浴。
Is there room on the broom for a frog like me?
扫帚可还有位子容我栖身？
Yes! Cried the witch.
可以！ 女巫高兴地回答。
So the frog bounded on.
青蛙跳到扫帚上。
The witch tapped the broomstick.
女巫轻扣扫帚。
…a-a-a-a-nd…WHOOSH!
咻的一声！
They were gone.
又起飞了。
Over the moors and the mountains they flew.
越过沼泽与群山。
The frog jumped for joy.
青蛙高兴地跳起来。
and the broom snapped in two!
扫帚却蓦地断裂开！
Down fell the cat and the dog and the frog.
猫狗蛙统统从天而落。
Down they went tumbling into a bog.
翻身掉进泥塘中。
The witch’s half broomstick flew into a cloud
剩下一小截扫帚载着女巫飞进云中
And the witch heard a roar that was scary and loud.
女巫听见一声可怕的怒吼。
I am a dragon as mean as can be.
我是一只龙，邪恶难当。
…and I’m planning to have witch and chips for my tea.
我想拿女巫和薯条来下酒菜。
No! Cried the witch, flying higher and higher.
不！ 女巫呼喊道。陡升云端飞向高空。
The dragon flew after her, breathing out fire!
恶龙紧随，口喷烈焰！
HELP!
救我！
cried the witch, flying down to the ground.
女巫哭喊道，飞到地面之上。
HELP!
救命！
HELP!
救命！
She looked all around.
她看向四周。
Help.
救命！
but no help could be found.
可还是沒人來救她。
The dragon drew nearer and licking his lips said.
恶魔缓步移上前来，舔舔嘴唇。
Maybe this once
或许这次
I’ll have witch without chips.
不配薯条也能将就。
But just as he planned to begin on his feast.
恶龙正准备享用美食盛宴。
From out of a ditch rose a horrible beast!
泥塘里冒出一只骇人的怪物！
It was tall, dark and sticky and feathered and furred
它又高又黑，浑身湿黏，覆盖厚毛
It had four frightful heads, it had wings like a bird.
吓人的巨头，还有鸟一样的翅膀。
And its terrible voice when it started to speak
嗓音布满恐惧
Was a yowl and a growl and a croak and a shriek!
充斥着咆哮，时而呱呱时而尖锐！
It dripped and it squelched as it strode from the ditch.
一边向前迈步，一边哼哧着还掉着泥糊糊的东西。
And it said to the dragon.
对恶龙说到。
BUZZ OFF!
赶紧滚！
THAT’S MY WITCH!
这女巫是我的！
The dragon drew back and he started to shake.
恶龙瞬间萎靡不振
Oh, erm…sorry. He spluttered,
噢，呃…对不起。它结巴道，
I made a mistake!
是我的错！
It’s nice to have met you but now I must fly.
很高兴认识你，可我得走了。
And he spread out his wings
它展开双翅
and was off through the sky.
扑腾飞走了。
Then down flew the bird and down jumped the frog.
鸟儿飞下，青蛙跳下。
Down climbed the cat and said the dog.
小猫爬下，小狗叹口气。
And… Thank you! Oh, thank you.
谢谢，太感谢你们了。
…the grateful witch cried.
女巫很激动。
Without you, I’d be in that dragon’s inside.
沒有你们的话我早就被吃掉了。
Then she filled up her cauldron.
然後女巫开始往锅里放东西。
and said with a grin,
笑道，
Find something.
去找些东西。
Everyone, throw something in!
每个人，然后扔进来！
So the frog found a lily, the cat found a cone.
青蛙找到百合花，猫咪找到榛果。
The bird found a twig and the dog found a bone.
小鸟拾到树枝，小狗找到骨头。
They threw them all in.
统统扔了进去。
And the witch stirred them well
女巫慢慢搅拌
And while she was stirring she muttered a spell.
一边搅拌一边轻念咒语。
Iggety…ziggety…zaggety…
天灵灵地灵灵，神奇黑锅快显灵
ZOOM!
变！
Then out rose…
然后出现了…
a truly magnificent broom
一只真正豪华的扫帚
With seats for the witch and the cat and the dog
每个人都有座位
A nest for the bird and a shower for the frog.
鸟儿有窝，青蛙有莲蓬头。
YES! Cried the witch.
去吧！ 女巫喊道。
and they all clambered on.
他们都坐上去。
The witch tapped the broomstick.
女巫轻扣扫帚。
and WHOOSH!
咻！
They were gone.
他们就消失在夜空里了
