我为你施洗

他在做什么 他们称之为洗礼
What’s he doing? They call it baptism,
一种使用黑水的罪恶之浴
An evil bath of blood water.
我知道在座有许多人仍有疑虑
I know there are some here who still doubt,
小部份仍不能接受洗礼
A few who have not accepted baptism.
耶稣我主会谅解这点
our lord Jesus understood that.
他秉持自♥由♥人信念欢迎基♥督♥徒
He welcomed questions as the right of free men.
今晚有位我们期盼已久的人
But there is one among us tonight
他会和耶稣及群众在一起
Who was there when the people gathered about Christ.
并问他
And questioned him,
他会亲耳听到耶稣亲口回答群众
Who heard the answers from his own lips,
一个亲眼见到过耶稣的人
A man who saw Jesus ‘ face
触摸过他的手
and touched his hand,
他来自耶路撒冷 渔父彼得
The fisherman Simon, called Peter,
我们的主的第一个使徒
our lord’s first apostle.
耶稣对我这么个平凡的俗人说
Unworthy though I am,
你是彼得 我将在这堆岩石上
Jesus said to me, “thou art Peter,
建造我的教堂
And upon this rock I will build my church.”
他指引我到罗马来
He has guided me to Rome
和各位目聚在此建立教堂
So that together we can build his church here.
感谢各位给予的信心
I give thanks for your faith in him
虽然你们没见过他
Whose voice you have heard
但内心里各位都有所感悟
in your hearts.
我在加利利海边听过他声音
By the sea of Galilee.
我和我兄弟是渔夫
My brothers and I had fished all night
整夜我们捕捉不到任何东西
And had caught nothing.
我们又冷又累
We were co Id and tired.
当船靠近岸边
coming into the shore,
我听到有人叫我
I heard someone call my name.
抬头望去 我看到一个人
A man stood there.
一见他
At the sight of him,
疲累之情立刻大为缓和
the co Id and weariness left me.
我答道
I answered
是的 朋友
“Yes, friend?”
他问可否让他到船上来
He asked to come into our boat
好让岸上的人们清楚地听他说话
So that he could speak better to the people on shore.
我们请他上
We bade him enter.
他向人们谈到天国即将到来
He spoke to the people about the kingdom of heaven.
突然我的心狂跳 我知道
Suddenly, my heart leapt in my breast,
他就是将来的救世主
And I knew that he was the Christ.
结束时 他告诉我
He said to me,
去到深水区撒网 顷刻间
“go out into deep waters and let down your nets.”
网子就满了 如同奇迹一般
In a moment, the nets were fu ll.
惊讶中 他对我说
He looked at my wonderment and said,
别怕 从今天起
“from henceforth,
你将会是全人类的渔父
you shall be a fisher of men.”
他要我追随他 我照做了
He told me to follow him, and I did,
我和我兄弟 詹姆士和约翰
I and my brothers James and john.
追随他长途跋涉
Throughout the land,
其他人也加入
we followed him.
直到有十二位使徒在他身旁
others joined us until we were 12.
饥渴时 他赐我们食物和水
To the hungry and thirsty, he gave food and drink.
他给病弱的人
To those who were sick and worn and weary,
希望和平静
He gave hope and peace.
除了上帝之子 又有谁能
Who but the son of god
给人类如此的礼物
could have brought such gifts to man
除了上帝之子
or have commanded the storm
又有谁能平息暴风雨
to be calm
只有他能将拿撒勒从一片死寂中
Who or he could have raised Lazarus of Bethany from the dear.
复苏起来并享有平静
And given peace to Mary Magdalene?
但我 我还是眼睁睁地不认他
And yet I… Denied this man.
最后晚餐时
He himself foretold that I would
他就说过
on the night of our last supper.
我会不认他 而当时我说
“lord, ”
主呀
I had said,
不论牢狱和死亡我将紧紧追随
“I will follow you to prison and to death.”
但他回答 彼得
But he answered, “Peter,
今晚钟响之前
before the cock crows,
你会三次不认我
Thou Shalt deny me thrice.”
我确是那么做了
And I did, three times
在审判他的法庭外面
outside the house of his judges
当他们指控我追随他 而我说
When they accused me of being with him,
我不认得这个人 说了三次
I said, “I know not the man, ”
我虚弱的身体受了咀咒
cursing my weakness
而我也畏惧面对死亡
in the face of death.
之后
Then
他们要他背着十字架游街
they weighed him down with a cross
并鞭打他
and scourged him,
在一个叫迦弗利的地方
And at Calvary, they crucified him
他们把他钉上十字架
With a crown of thorns
给他戴上荆蕀做的王冠
upon his head.
在受苦中 耶稣说
But even then Jesus said,
天父呀 饶恕他们吧
“father, forgive them,
他们并不知道自己在做什么
for they know not what they do.
上帝之子原谅了他们 就如同
on y the son of God could have forgiven them
他原谅了我之不认他
As he forgave me.
但死亡征服不了他
But he who raised the dead could not be conquered by death.
当他死后 大家群聚悲伤之际
The room in which we later sat was filled suddenly with light
他伴着强光站立在我们之前
And the risen lord stood before us.
他手上身上的伤痕仍在
We saw his pierced hands and wounded side,
我们知道他就是主
And we knew that he was the lord.
我们听到他的声音说道
He said,
平安与各位同在
“peace be unto you.”
他要我们人类传播他的天国
He commanded us to preach his holy word.
使人无非贵贱
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
都能见到天国
“For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
安抚哀悼悲伤的人们
“Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
使世上柔顺的人们能受尊重
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
使因正真而饥渴的人
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteous
能得温饱
“For they shall be filled.
慈悲的人们受到怜悯
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
使心地纯真的人能见到神旨
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see god.
保佑那促成和平的人
“Blessed are the peacemakers,
他们是神的子女
For they shall be called “The children of God.”
这之外 耶稣要求我们遵守
Jesus a I so asks us
神给予先知摩西的各项诫律
To obey the commandments which god gave to Moses.
奉行这些
obey those who govern you
诫律和法律
And the laws by which they govern.
纵然你们因此
Even though under them you suffer cruelties
而身受痛苦及不幸
Witness maliciousness.
也不能用暴♥力♥威胁来回应
Make no threat of violence great in returns,
在耶稣说的天国里
In the words of Jesus,
有人打你的右脸颊
“Whosoever shall smite thee upon thy right cheek,
你要把另一边脸颊也送上去
“Turn to him the other, a I so.
爱你的邻居如同爱你自己
“Love thy neighbour as thyself.
己所不欲
