送春
王令[1]
三月残花落更[2]开，
小檐日日燕飞来。
子规[3]夜半犹啼血[4]，
不信东风唤不回。
注释：
[1] 王令：北宋才子，字逢原，王安石的妹夫，年仅二十八岁就不幸去世。《千家诗》注说：“三月春色日暮，花残已落，而复有开者。小檐之燕子，日日飞来营其巢穴也。子规之鸟当三更而悲鸣，至血流而方止。言其春去难留，虽子规之悲啼流血，而不能唤回已去之春光也。”子规啼血预示诗人早逝，最后一句写出了诗人对春光的热爱。
[2] 更：再次。
[3] 子规：杜鹃鸟。
[4] 啼血：指杜鹃鸟的鸣叫至泣血而止。
Won’t Spring Come Back
Wang Ling
In late spring flowers fall but they will blow again,
And swallows come back under the eaves now and then.
At midnight cuckoos cry and ooze blood without cease;
They won’t believe they can’t call back the vernal breeze.
