怀[2]君属[3]秋夜，
散步咏凉天[4]。
山空松子落，
幽人[5]应未眠。
注释：
[1] 《千家诗》注说：“幽人，高旷隐逸之人，怀丘为而作也。言秋夜怀故人，不能即枕，因散步吟咏于凉天夜月之下。秋山空寂，松子飘落于满径。想此夜景凄清，而我所怀之幽人，当此时亦未眠也。”这首诗写诗人怀念丘为（见《左掖梨花》）之情，心心相印，推己及人，用松子落之景，推及幽人当时心境，可见友情之深。

For a Hermit on an Autumn Night

Strolling when autumn night is still,
I think of you and softly sing.
As pine cones fall in empty hill,
Hermit, you must be listening.
《秋夜寄丘二十二员外》是唐代诗人韦应物的诗作。此诗表达作者在秋夜对隐居朋友的思念之情。前半首写作者自己，即怀人之人；后半首写正在临平山学道的丘丹，即所怀之人。全诗从容落笔，浅浅着墨，语淡而情浓，言短而意深，格调古朴雅致，安闲恬淡，给人以玩味不尽的艺术体验。
The poem “For a Hermit on an Autumn Night ” is a poem written by Wei Yinwu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. This poem expresses the author’s longing for his friend in seclusion in the autumn night. The first half of the poem is about the author himself, i.e. the person he misses; the second half is about Qiu Dan, who is studying at Linping Mountain, i.e. the person he misses. The whole poem is written with ease and shallow ink, with light words but strong emotions, short words but deep meaning, with a simple and elegant style, leisure and tranquility, giving people an endless artistic experience.
