别业居幽处[3]，
到来生隐心[4]。
南山当[5]户牖[6]，
澧水映园林。
竹覆今冬雪，
庭昏[7]未夕[8]阴。
寥寥[9]人境外[10]，
闲坐听春禽[11]。

[2] 祖咏：盛唐的田园诗人。《千家诗》注说：“咏于友人苏氏别馆而作此诗。言子之园林静雅，可谓幽居矣。吾来此处，见山水之佳胜，高士之清旷，令人生栖隐之心焉。终南之山则当于门牖，澧水之流则绕映园林。经冬之雪，尚留于竹梢。花木掩映，蔽日之光，未至于夕，而重阴密覆。幽寂之境，人声不闻，但听春鸟之鸣而已。其潇洒得意之情，自见于言外也。”这首诗写山水幽静，春禽夏阴，秋竹冬雪，令人神往。

Zu Yong
Your villa lies in a deep gloom,
Who won’t be hermit in your room?
Before your door south mountains dream,
Your garden mirrored in the stream.
Amid bamboos hides winter snow,
Your courtyard lit by evening glow.
of solitude you feel the pleasure;
You may hear spring birds’ song at leisure.
《苏氏别业》是唐代诗人祖咏创作的一首五律。此诗描写诗人到深山中的苏氏别墅游览的情景。他一到清幽的别业就产生隐逸之情，欣赏别业周围的开阔景色和别业里新奇别致的幽景，静静地坐下来悠闲地聆听深山中春鸟的啼鸣，置身这种环境中，他感到自己仿佛超脱凡尘，烦恼、杂念全部消失，非常舒心惬意。全篇语言洗炼，造语新奇，格律严谨，意境清幽，是盛唐五律的一首杰作。
“For a Friend’s Villa” is a poem written by the poet Zu Yong in the Tang Dynasty. This poem describes the poet’s visit to Su’s villa in the deep mountains. As soon as he arrives at the secluded villa, he feels a sense of seclusion, admiring the open scenery around the villa and the new and unique scenery in the villa, sitting quietly and listening to the cries of spring birds in the deep mountains. The whole piece is a masterpiece of the five rhythms of the Sheng Tang Dynasty, with refined language, novel phrasing, strict metre, and a clear and quiet mood.
