早春
白玉蟾[1]
南枝[2]才放两三花，
雪里吟[3]香弄[4]粉些[5]。
淡淡著[6]烟浓著月，
深深笼水浅笼[7]沙。
注释：
[1] 白玉蟾：南宋道士。《千家诗》注说：“南枝，向南之枝，近日而暖，得气之先，故花先放。才放两三花，言初开也。花初放而遇雪，雪方霁而见花，故诗人吟香弄粉，徘徊其下。但见烟雾霏微，香风淡荡，月光叆叇，疏影朦胧，映溪而深深照水，印月而浅浅笼沙。其清香瘦影之佳妙如此，可谓极于描写者矣。”这又是一首咏梅诗。诗人爱在雪中月下看梅，说明了自己和月下的雪梅一样纯洁。

Early Spring
Bai Yuchan
On sunny branches two or three mumes begin to blow;
I like their fragrance and petals powdered with snow.
Pale in mist and silvery in moonlight they stand;
They blush in water deep and smile on shallow sand.
《早春》是南宋道士、诗人白玉蟾创作的一首七言绝句。这首诗通过梅花来歌咏早春，首句写梅花之早，次句写花香花色，后两句化用杜牧《泊秦淮》诗意写梅花开放的环境。全诗句式工整，富有意趣。
“Early Spring” is a seven-line poem written by Bai Yuqan, a Taoist priest and poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. The first stanza is about the early spring of plum blossoms, the second about the fragrance and color of the blossoms, and the last two about the environment where the plum blossoms open, using Du Mu’s poem “The Poaching of Qin Huai”. The last two stanzas use the meaning of Du Mu’s poem “The Plum Blossoms in Qin Huai” to describe the environment of the blossoms.
