海洋星球（2012）

Twenty years ago, in Rio,
人们为讨论地球的未来相聚于此
people came together for a major conference on the future of the Earth.
那是在1992年
That was in 1992.
那一年
ln that year,
政要们投票通过了
our political elites voted for 2,500 recommendations
2500个保护地球的建议
for protecting the planet.
我相信这是新时代♥开♥始的标志
l believed that was the symbolic beginning of a new era.
但这只是漫漫长路的开始
But it was only the beginning of a long road.
在这之后 又发生了什么呢
Since then, what has happened?
虽然有数次会议 数次地球峰会
There have been other conferences, other Earth summits,
但成果甚少
with very little result.
决定可能引发的不满
The risk of unpopular decision,
竞争 腐♥败♥以及不作为阻断了任何行动
competition, corruption, passivity, have prevented any action.
但我们人类
But we, humanity,
在这20年里已经迈出了一大步
have made an enormous leap forward in the last 20 years.
我们的意识在增强
Our awareness has evolved.
我们关心环境问题
We are worried about the issue of the environment.
但这还不够
But that’s not yet enough.
时间已经十分紧迫
Time is catching up with us.
照这样下去 我们会大难临头
At this rate, we are headed for catastrophe.
可怕的是我们没意识到正在发生的事
What’s striking is that we don’t see what’s happening.
即使在这座海滨城市的中心
Even at the heart of this city facing the ocean,
恶心的污染意味着我们无法下海
the disgusting pollution means we cannot go into the sea.
我们只能在世界上最美的海湾里造泳池游泳
We had to build a pool to swim in the most beautiful bay in the wofld,
这个海湾已对我们的健康构成了威胁
the bay which has become dangerous to our health.
在里约 就像在世界上其他地方一样
ln Rio, like everywhere in the wofld,
我们建造象征永生的巨像
we built a colossus, a symbol of eternity,
这仿佛是为了保佑我们自己
as if to protect ourselves.
他注视着海洋 但他又能做什么呢
He contemplates the ocean, but what can he do for us?
宗教和信仰都不能拯救我们
No religion, no belief will save us.
现在不是相信天国承诺的时候
lt’s not a time for believing in the promises of heaven.
只有智慧才能使我们 预测未来并做好准备
Only our intelligence enables us to foresee and prepare our future.
我们还能改变命运
We can still change direction.
还有时间来人道且负责地管理地球
There’s still time to imagine a humanist and responsible stewardship of the planet.
以此延续我们的海洋行星
To remain on our ocean planet.

永久禁止深海捕鱼
提倡小规模捕鱼
只买♥♥带生态标签的鱼
鼓励责任捕鱼制
控制污染
限制深海开采
遵守南极条约
建立北极条约
仍有80％海洋生物未知
我们必须投入研究
保护海洋基因遗产
保护整个生态系统
让海洋生物得以恢复
2012年受保护的海域仅占全海域的1％
我们希望在2020年达到20％
是时候构想一套全球海洋管理方案了
