我又做了一个相同的梦
I have this reoccurring dream.

I’m a little girl sitting with my mom, and she’s singing to me.

I feel the warmth of the sun on my skin

and the comfort of her arms around me.

And I wanna stay there.

Forever.

When I wake up, I miss the dream.

I want so badly for this dream to be real,

but that would be impossible

because my mom died when I was really little.

I have a rare genetic condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum,

If the sun hits my skin, I get skin cancer,

my brain starts to fail, and I could die. Pretty fun, right?

So, I spend all my time indoors behind special windows,
和我爸爸在一起 他是最好的爸爸
hanging out with my dad, who is the best dad ever.

Thank goodness, because growing up,
