My first memory of Bruce Lee
我记得在电影《精武门》中
is in the movie Chinese Connection.
第一次看到李小龙
The last scene in the movie, there’s a firing squad.
电影的最后一幕有一个行刑队
When he came out and ran up and jumped and they froze it.
在他狂奔飞跃时镜头停滞 电影结束
I was like “Mom, what happened?”
我禁不住问 妈 怎么回事
And she said, “He wanted to go that way.”
她说 他要这么跑出去
And that just… that just stuck with me.

it’s a movie about cultural nationalism

as expressed through action sequences

but that’s no different than Swan Lake.
