绝句漫兴
（九首其三）
熟知茅斋[1]绝低小，
江上燕子故来频。
衔泥点污[2]琴书内，
更接飞虫打着人。
这一首景中含情，带有浓厚的生活气息，更透出一股闲适之意。给人自然、亲切之感。燕子往来穿梭，忙忙碌碌，相形之下诗人好整以暇，倒显出些许无奈与落寞。一说诗人通过对燕子频频扰人情景的描写，引出禽鸟也似欺人的感慨，表现诗人客居他乡的诸多烦恼和心绪不宁。

Knowing my thatched hut small with roof low,
Swallows oft come across the stream and go.
They stain my lute and books with clods of clay
And knock at my head while catching its prey.
