贫交行
翻手[1]为云覆[2]手雨，
纷纷轻薄[3]何须数[4]。
君不见管鲍[5]贫时交，
此道今人弃如土。
天宝中期，诗人久寓京华，献赋谋职不成，参加科举失利，受尽冷遇，生活困顿之中，饱谙炎凉世态，所以愤而写下此诗。诗开头以翻手覆手、云雨莫测形容世人之交的变化多端，对这种“同利为朋，利尽交疏”的小人之交，诗人给予的是愤慨与蔑视。在黑暗丑陋的现实中，诗人想起了古时的圣贤，而先贤的美德已经被世人随意丢弃，这首短诗是诗人对现实世态的控诉。

[5]管鲍：指管仲和鲍叔牙。管仲早年与鲍叔牙相处很好，管仲贫困，也欺骗过鲍叔牙，但鲍叔牙始终善待管仲。现在人们常用“管鲍”来比喻情谊深厚的朋友。
Friendship in Poverty
Friends of today are changeable as rain or cloud:
When you are rich or poor, they come and go in crowd.
But a poor man might become a minister wise;
Those looked down upon as dirt to fame may rise.
《贫交行》是唐代大诗人杜甫的作品。此诗感伤交道浅薄，世态炎凉，人情反复，所谓“人心不古”。全诗通过正反对比手法和过情夸张语气的运用，反复咏叹，造成了“慷慨不可止”的情韵，吐露出诗人心中郁结的愤懑与悲辛之情。
This poem is a work by Du Fu, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty. The poem laments the shallowness of fellowship, the coldness of the world, the repetition of human feelings, and the fact that “people’s hearts are not ancient”. Through the use of contrast and hyperbole, the poem repeatedly chants, creating a rhythm of “unstoppable generosity” and revealing the poet’s pent-up resentment and sorrow.
