那么关于未来
So when you think
about the future,
你都有哪些设想呢
how do you imagine it’ll be?
比如 大自然会变成什么样
Like, what will nature
be like?
你住的城市会发生什么变化
How will your city change?
家庭成员会有什么娈化
Will families be the same?
哪些事会让你久久铭记 哪些会随时间散落
What will stay with you,
and what will you forget?
什么事会让你害怕
What scares you?
什么事会让你生气
What makes you angry?
什么事会让你感到弧独
Do you feel lonely?
什么事会让你觉得快乐
What makes you happy?
我们正在全国范围周游
So we are goin’
around the country,
去不的城市里 採访孩子们
goin’ to different cities
and interviewing kids,
各个年龄阶层的都有 採访他们对生活的看法
ranging in age, um,
just about their… their life
以及他们对未来的构想
and what they think
about the future.
如果我问的某个问题你不想回答
If I ask you anything
that you don’t wanna answer,
或者你不喜欢这个问题 或任何原因
or you don’t like a question
or whatever,
直接拒绝就可以了
you can just be like, “No.”
我希望你们能感到自在放鬆
I want you
to just feel comfortable,

that you don’t wanna
talk about,
只要说”我不太想谈这个”就好
say “I don’t really wanna
talk about that.”
我觉得成年人总是自视甚高
I think adults always think
they’re the boss,
要插手掌管所有事情
and they always gotta
be the boss of everything.
我还觉得有些成年人思想太固执
And I think that some adults
have that mindset
总是觉得”我是对的你是错的”
where “I’m right
and you’re wrong.”
关于未来
When you think
about the future,
你都有哪些设想呢
how do you imagine it’ll be?

我想 同时也希望 未来世界会很美好
I imagine and hope
it’ll be good.
那么你有没有思考过
And do you ever think,
比如说成年人要做些什么
like, what could adults
have done
才确保我们在为美好的未来奠定基础
to have made sure that
we went in the right path?
那最重要的一定是 更加留心
Definitely most of all,
paid more attention
就是说留心发生在身边的事
to, like, what’s going on
around them,
因为我觉得这个问题现在很严重
’cause I feel like
that’s a big problem
处处都在发生
with, like,
literally everything.
就是说 是很严重很严重的事
Like, that’s a big, big thing.
他们会说”哦 你是底特律来的”
They’ll be like,
“Oh, you’re from Detroit.”
我会回答”是的”
I was like, “Yeah.”
然后他们说”你那边很危险的”
Like, “It’s really
dangerous there.
“学校也都很烂”
“The schools
are really terrible
“底特律真是一无是处”
“and, like,
nothing’s good there.”
我就回答”你很瞭解吗”
I was like,
“Well, how would you know?
“你又不住在那里
“You don’t live there,
“也没上过那边的学校”
“and you don’t
go to school there.
“你又不是底特律长太的”
“You weren’t raised
in Detroit.
“而我可是在底特律出生长大的”
“Like, I’ve been raised
in Detroit all my life.”
美国 呃 真的是
America, uh, it’s so much…
充满了悲剧
It’s so much tragedy,
有人遭受著不公
and some people
aren’t treated fairly,
遭受著种族歧视 性取向歧视
because of race,
because of who they like,
出生地歧视
because of where they live,
还会因为贫穷被歧视
because of
how much money they have.
所以我希望未来能变得美好一点
So I would want it
to become a better place
也希望大家能够明白
and people to know
就算一些人和你很不一样
that just because someone
isn’t like you
也不代表这种不同是不该存在的
doesn’t mean
that they’re wrong,
但是其实我也不确定啊
but then I’m not sure.
我们现在所处的时间点
We’re at the point right now
正是要做出改变的节点
where we have to
change things,
而基于我们人类的道德良知来看
and just based on
our morals as people,
我真的不觉得这种改变会很快到来
I don’t really see
that happening anytime soon.
所以你…你对未来有信心吗

You’re hopeful for the future?
就是说当你畅想未来世界的时候
Like, when you think
about the future,
你觉得未来 会更美好 还是更糟糕
you think it’ll be better
or worse?
就我个人而言
For me,
personally,
我觉得世界会娈得更好的
I feel like
things are gonna get better,
因为我现在有很多机会
because I have a lot
of opportunities right now.
我对自己很有信心
I’m hopeful for myself,
对别人也是
for other people.
我不知道未来能不能变好
I don’t know if things
are gonna get better,
真的很难说
it’s really on the side,
但是我真的希望一切都有好结果
but I really hope things
get better.
嗯 从世界整体而言
Um, but for the overall world,
我也是希望未来会更好
once again
I hope it gets better,
但是可能 不是所有事都能变好
but it might not,
like everything.
