元日

爆竹声中一岁除，
春风送暖入屠苏。
千门万户曈曈日，
总把新桃换旧符。

迎春花开放，
鸟儿把歌唱
梅花点点红，
锣鼓声声响
挽新面，梳红妆，
去见我少年郎

又到新年时，
花市灯如昼
月上柳梢头，
人约黄昏后
看美景，喝美酒，
人生呵乐悠悠

In warm spring breeze people drink wine with cheer.
Thousands of households greet the bright rising sun,
Replacing each couplet on the door with a new one.

Winter jasmine is blooming
and birds are singing
The plum blossoms are red,
and the sounds of gongs and drums are loud.
Make a new face, put on some makeups,
going to see my boyfriend.

It’s the new year again,
the lanterns in the flower fair are bright as daylight.
The moon rose above the willow tree,
at dusk I have a tryst with her.
Watching the beautiful scenery, drinking good wine
and enjoying the jolly life.
