The cheetah is a champion sprinter,

Able to take down the fastest prey.

But can she teach her cubs how to hunt for themselves today?

Two of the super seven are already at the river.

Elephants are social animals.

The river is one of their favorite spots.

And this cat is full of surprises.

The lion is the most formidable hunter here.

Predators will prey on her newborn.

This hyena mom is also raising a family.

Her growing cubs have a never-ending hunger for milk.

At nine months, they’re now quite big.

It’ll be another six months

Before they’re completely weaned.

To protect her young from predators,

She won’t bring meat back to the den.
而是把自己给喂饱
Instead she feeds herself regularly

To keep a fresh supply of milk flowing.

Today she must leave them to go hunt.

And this she must do on her own.
不像其它的鬣狗妈妈
Unlike most hyena moms,
它没有自己的族群可协助它捕食
She does not have a clan to help her hunt
或者在它不在的时候保护它的幼崽
Or protect her young when she’s away.

This is a big day for the cheetah mother.

She’s about to give her cubs a hunting lesson.

But first the young ones need to charge their batteries.

Sprinting is thirsty work.

The young cheetahs have a whole world to explore

And need to learn which animals are prey

With their poor eyesight,

The discovery has the rhinos spooked.

Predators don’t normally hunt rhino —

They’re too big.

But these nervous creatures

Would still rather be somewhere else.

Unfortunately,

They’re now headed straight for the elephants,

Where the mood is lighter.

They’re the biggest of the super seven.

Elephants are normally the ones who disturb other animals.

Even babies can be a handful.

This herd has only one real problem at the moment —
有一头年轻的公象 最近很不安分
A young bull elephant has been acting up recently.
它现在大了 管不住了
He’s now old enough to be on his own,
母象不要它了
And the adult females don’t want him here anymore.

Even though he’s been pushed out,
它也不想走
He doesn’t want to leave.
它过惯了享受的日子
He’s used to the good life.
年轻的公象紧紧地跟着象群
The young bull stays close to the herd,

But he’s under strict orders to keep his distance.

Right now he’s very unpredictable —

Something other animals need to be aware of.

The rhino thinks she’s found a quiet feeding spot,
但它错了
But she’s mistaken.
对于近视眼的犀牛妹妹来说
For a rhino with poor eyesight,
它是想搞也搞不明白的 这大象哥哥是生气了？
It’s impossible to tell whether the elephant is angry,
还是看上它了？还是 只是想跟它一起玩？
Amorous, or just playful.
但是傻等着去弄明白总不是事儿
But no one’s waiting around to find out.
对于狮子来说 白天还没过去
The day is still young for the lions.
它们没有操心事 没有烦恼
They have no cares, no worries,
它们很知足也很自信 认为 世界正等着它们去征服
Content and confident that the world is theirs for the taking.

Just one lion is a powerful hunter.
