康定 = kangding (county in china’s sichuan province)
跑马山 = paomo mountain (part of hengduan mountain range 横断山脉 that extends into kangding)
垭拉河 = aka 雅拉河 yarra river (in sichuan)
海子 = aka 长海子 changhaizi lake (in sichuan)
折多河 = zheduo river (in sichuan)
锅庄 = aka 锅庄舞 (popular tibetan folk dance)
木格措 = mugecuo (nature reserve park in sichuan)
张家的大哥、李家的大姐 = referring to eldest offsprings of the fictional chang (zhang) & lee (li) families
