beggar description难以形容
something beggars description指某物分外美丽、与众不同，难以用言语去形容。如：
The calmness of the sea in the evening light beggared all description.
静谧的大海在夜光的映衬下分外美丽。
这一表达出自莎士比亚的戏剧《安东尼和克莉奥佩特拉》（Antony and Cleopatra ）第2幕第2场中安东尼的朋友伊诺巴柏斯（Enobarbus）之口：
The barge she sat in, like a burnish’d throne,
Burn’d on the water; the poop was beaten gold,
Purple the sails, and so perfumed, that
The winds were love-sick with them, the oars were silver,
Which to the tune of flutes kept stroke, and made
