Treading on Grass
· Crabapple Flowers Viewed in Rain

Liu Chenweng
Ill-fated beauty in view,
How can I not fall in love with you?
I’m broken-hearted to see you fade.
In wind and rain fine day’s no more;
You’ve shed all rouged tears by the balustrade.
To my regret you are not in full bloom
When you’re in bloom, I fall in gloom.
For spring is cold and I must shut the door.
When the day’s fine, I see you sigh,
Wordless, veiled by the screen, languid and shy.

注释:
This lyric compares the crabapple flower in rain to a tearful beauty.
