旅怀
崔涂[1]
水流花谢两无情，
送尽东风[2]过楚城[3]。
蝴蝶梦中家万里，
杜鹃枝上月三更。
故园[4]书[5]动[6]经年[7]绝[8]，
华发[9]春催两鬓生。
自是不归归便得，
五湖烟景[10]有谁争？

[1] 崔涂：公元888年进士。《千家诗》注说：“无情，去而不能复留也。水流花谢，送尽春光过楚城而去。庄周梦蝴蝶，予梦则万里之遥。杜鹃啼血泪，予醒则三更月皎。因忆故园音信，经年绝少。两鬓斑白，入春更多。又言予自是不能归耳。若，若归则五湖烟景，有谁争竞乎？”这是一首怀念故乡湖上风光的诗。

[3] 楚城：楚地，今湖南、湖北一带。
[4] 故园：故乡。
[5] 书：书信。
[6] 动：动辄。
[7] 经年：一年多。
[8] 绝：断绝。
[9] 华发：白发。
[10] 烟景：美丽的景色。

Cui Tu
Running water and fallen flowers have no heart;
The east wind passing by South Town blows spring apart.
I dream of far-off home as the sage of butterflies;
I cry as midnight cuckoo to see the moon rise.
I have received no letter from home for a year;
Spring hastens grey hair on my forehead to appear.
If to go back to my native land I were free,
Who could on misty waves of the lake vie with me?
